6 April 2017, LAFLO Showroom
As an archipelago blessed with abundant natural resources, Indonesia still faces many challenges, mainly in terms of infrastructure, transportation and welfare distribution. Specifically, there are still many communities that have not been able to enjoy adequate health care services due to lack of access and lack of medical facilities. This situation pushes doctorSHARE (Yayasan Dokter Peduli) to initiate the floating hospital (RSA) program to become more proactive in serving these communities directly in isolated areas that have no access to health care services. Our first medical service was conducted with the first floating hospital named after doctorSHARE’s founder, RSA dr. Lie Dharmawan, on 16 March 2013 in Panggang Island, Thousand Island – DKI Jakarta.
A preview exhibition is held to introduce the five artworks to be auctioned in support of doctorSHARE floating hospital program, created and donated by renowned artists Andy Dewantoro, Sinta Tantra, Oky Rey Montha, Entang Wiharso, and Ay Tjoe Christine. The charity auction will take place during dinner on the day of the charity concert on 18 April 2017, and will be guided by Deborah Iskandar, a professional art curator. “We all have to come together from all areas of business and art to support doctorSHARE and their purpose to cater to the health care needs of those in need,” said Deborah Iskandar. The charity auction will not happen without the support from the artists, Bimasena, Can’s Gallery, ISA Art Advisory, and LAFLO. Just like the charity concert, proceeds from the auction of the five paintings will be donated entirely to support the construction of RSA Nusa Waluya II.Tags: art, lions club
