Lost and Found

Jakarta, 23 August - 23 September 2016, World Trade Centre 2.

Every year, ISA Art Advisory work together with PT Jakarta Land to open their doors to the public and showcase beautiful art. This August, we opened “Lost & Found : Place, Space and Belonging” as the theme of the exhibition. Supported by The British Council and Garuda Indonesia, the exhibition showcased abstract paintings by Arin Dwihartanto Sunaryo, Syagini Ratna Wulan, Sinta Tantra and Kate Bright.

The theme of the exhibition is identity. With contemporary art, artists are often identified by their country of origin, but what happens when they go abroad, especially to study art? In the Indonesian context, what is the result of the East meets the West? The exhibition explores how a change of space and environment influences their artistic practice.
